Order flow, made visible.

Who is buying, who is selling and where the size is resting. Onyx gives you a footprint with 37 signal detectors on Rithmic accounts today, and full Level 2 depth on the DOM with the Order Flow upgrade, coming soon.

Footprint

Every bar, opened up.

A candle tells you where price went. The footprint tells you how it got there: the volume traded at every price, split into the sellers who hit the bid and the buyers who lifted the offer. It runs on Rithmic accounts, built from tick data with the aggressor side of every trade.

Per price

Bid x ask at every level

Volume at each price, split by aggressor, with tick grouping when you want fewer, larger rows.

Auction

Point of control and value area

The price with the most volume outlined on every bar, and the value area around it (70% of the volume by default).

Aggression

Diagonal imbalances

Buyers or sellers outweighing the other side diagonally are outlined, and stacked imbalances are marked so a run of them stands out.

Delta

Delta, volume and the stat card

Per-bar delta and volume, with a stat card for delta %, trades, cumulative delta and the bid to ask ratio.

Bars

Time, volume, range, tick, renko

Time bars from 15 seconds to an hour, or bars built from volume, range, ticks or renko bricks.

Execution

Trade from the footprint

Place market, limit and stop orders, drag your stop and target, and flatten without leaving the chart.

Levels, profiles and presets

Draw structure on the footprint: point of control, developing and previous POC, value area high and low, VWAP, session high and low, daily open and close, break of structure, fair value gaps, supply and demand, imbalance zones and liquidity pools. Add EMAs and pivots, volume bubbles, an in-bar profile and a session volume profile in the sidebar, and start from the Default, Basic, Scalper or Swing preset.

Signals

37 signal detectors, bull and bear.

Switch on the patterns you trade and the footprint marks them as they form. Add threshold alerts on volume and delta to your watch list, or build confluence rules from several at once.

Coming to Onyx

The Order Flow upgrade.

Level 1 shows you the top of the book. Level 2 shows you the book. The Order Flow upgrade brings full Level 2 market depth to the Onyx DOM for Nexus Connect accounts, offered by Nexus Prop directly to individual traders as a monthly upgrade.

  • Resting size at every price level of the ladder, live as orders join and pull.
  • One-click orders from the depth, with your target and stop attached on entry.
  • A monthly upgrade you control, bought from Nexus Prop, not from your firm.
  • For non-professional traders, after the exchange data agreement in Onyx Settings.

Pricing and availability will be announced at launch. Until then, the Nexus Connect DOM shows the best bid and the best ask with their sizes.

FAQ

Order flow questions.

What is order flow trading?

Order flow trading reads the orders behind price: how much traded at each price, whether buyers lifted the offer or sellers hit the bid, and how much size is resting in the book. Tools like the footprint chart and the DOM show it, so you can see where the market is accepting or rejecting a price.

What is the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 market data?

Level 1 is the top of the book: the best bid, the best ask and the last trade. Level 2 is market depth: the resting size at each price level above and below the market, which is what fills out a DOM ladder.

Which accounts get the Onyx footprint?

The footprint runs on Rithmic accounts today. It is built from Rithmic's tick data, with the aggressor side of every trade.

What does the Order Flow upgrade include?

The Order Flow upgrade brings full Level 2 market depth to the Onyx DOM for Nexus Connect accounts. Without it, the Nexus Connect DOM shows the best bid and the best ask with their sizes.

How much will the Order Flow upgrade cost?

Pricing and availability will be announced at launch. It will be a monthly upgrade, offered by Nexus Prop directly to individual traders.

Who can get the Order Flow upgrade?

At launch the upgrade is for non-professional traders. Exchange rules require you to sign the exchange data agreement first, which you can do in Onyx Settings.

Do I need Level 2 to trade on Onyx?

No. You can chart and trade every account you connect without it. Level 2 adds the depth of the book to the DOM.
